The pros within the cons.

Being forced to stay home has done wonders for my eating habits. I love to cook and enjoy shopping for food at the farmer’s market near my house, getting the crockpot all fired up, making adventurous salads, baking bread. Before Covid, I was living off mediocre sandwiches, whatever could be thrown in a bag, or anything to throw in a microwave because I was almost never home. It was expensive and I often felt gross. Well, don’t own a microwave and am savoring every minute of this.

Red cabbage, spicy radishes. I love peppery vegetables. Kim chee. Making different types. Breads that are braided, with or without farina on the outside.

Brewing fire cider: apple cider vinegar, fresh horseradish, ginger, shallots, garlic, rosemary, cayenne, lemon, burdock, turmeric. Leave at room temperature for 2 weeks. Shake occasionally, then refrigerate. It clears sinus and chest problems, warms the body, gives energy, is great for seasoning other foods.
